Asthma Clinic
We have trained asthma nurses who hold regular clinics. Regular monitoring of asthmatics is recommended and you are advised to make an appointment at the clinic.
Diabetes
Diabetics are invited to attend Diabetic Care Planning appointments. This includes a 30 minute appointment with the Health Care Assistant to take a blood sample and conduct a Health Check. Follow up is with the Doctor. This gives patients the opportunity to discuss treatment and any problems.
Cervical Smear Clinic
Various by appointment with the Nurse.
Antenatal Clinic
All day Wednesdays 9.00am - 3.30pm .
Baby Immunisation Clinic
By appointment with the nurse.
Alcohol Support
By appointment with the Healthcare Assistant (e.g. counselling and support).
Minor Operations
Weekly by appointment
Smoking Cessation
The Kirklees Smoke Free Service no longer accepts new referrals. If you want to stop smoking there are a series of on-line resources www.nhs.uk/smokefree to help you quit or cut down. You can also contact your pharmacist for support to stop… Remember, it's important to minimise the harm of smoking by using e-cigarettes, eating a healthy diet and keeping physically active.
