DR NICKY MOUNSEY
GMC 4338552 Dr Mounsey trained at Leeds School of Medicine, qualifying in 1996. She trained as a GP in the Halifax/Huddersfield area qualifying as a GP in 2000. She has worked at the Practice since 2001 and became a Partner at the Practice in 2003. Dr Mounsey is contraception and sexual health lead for the Practice holding Faculty qualification for insertion/removal of both coils and implants. Her main areas of interest are mental health issues and womens' health and she leads the Patient Reference Group. Dr Mounsey is also a director of a local federation of GP practices in Huddersfield.
DR SHANTHAKUMAR (SHANNY) RASAKUMARAN
MB ChB, MRCGP, MSc (SEM) GMC 6039176 (m) I attended a local school and college before embarking on a career in medicine at The University of Sheffield where I graduated in 2001 with an undergraduate medical degree. I initially pursued surgical training before moving to general practice. Having completed general practice training I joined the health centre initially as a salaried GP in 2011 and then as a partner in 2015. I am passionate about all aspects of young people’s health and I am keen to promote this at a local and national level. I have a special interest in musculoskeletal and sports medicine, minor surgery and medical education. As the Care Quality Commission (CQC) manager I take the lead role for safeguarding and clinical governance. Outside work I enjoy spending time with my family and where possible enjoy a spot of DIY and gardening.
DR JULIA THOMAS
GMC 4631774 (f) Dr Thomas trained at Leeds School of Medicine, qualifying in 1999. She initially started training in surgery before spending many years working in A&E. She retrained as a GP in Harrogate and has worked in practices in the Knaresborough and Harrogate area and more recently in Bradford. She became a Partner at the Practice in April 2018. She works one day a week as a Dermatology GPwSI in Bradford and also has an interest in mental health. Dr Thomas is Chair of the Yorkshire Faculty of the Royal College of General Practitioners.

GMC 4421214 (f) Catherine qualified from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 1997. She has worked at the practice since 2003. She has an interest in Diabetes and also has faculty qualifications for insertion/removal of coils and implants.
DR SANDY MOFFITT

GMC 2805252 (f) Dr Moffitt trained in Birmingham, qualifying in 1983. She trained as a GP in Airedale, qualifying in 1987. She has worked as a part time Salaried GP since 1996. She has an interest in Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Tuberculosis, Blood Borne Infections (Hepatitis and HIV) and Transgender Medicine. She is the practice lead for in-house Tuberculosis screening and sits on the Regional Tuberculosis Control Board.
DR ANDREW SNOWDEN
Associate Partner GP - MBChB, BA (Hons), MRCGP
GMC 7039652 (m) Dr Snowden studied Medicine at Leeds Medical School and also took a degree in Healthcare Ethics during his studies. He qualified as a doctor in 2009 and trained as a GP in the Halifax/Huddersfield area, qualifying in 2014. He started working at The University Health Centre shortly afterwards. His main interests are in mental health and in training, for which he is the lead for medical students from he University of Leeds. Dr Snowden is the lead for Chronic Disease Management. He hopes to teach and mentor GPs in training in the future.

Katie trained at Huddersfield University and qualified in 2004. She has worked in various roles such as Accident and Emergency, nursing on cruise ships and Walk in Centres. Katie joined the practice in 2015. She can treat patients with minor illnesses and injuries. Katie has recently undertaken extra training to become an Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
Advanced Nurse Practitioner
Alix studied nursing at Leeds University and qualified as a registered Nurse in 2000. She has a varied experience in Surgical Nursing, Accident and Emergency care and Minor Injury Units. She is qualified Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) and in 2014 qualified as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) through the University of Huddersfield, this allows her to see a wider range of acute and chronic conditions. Alix is also a Independent Nurse Prescriber. She joined the Practice in 2016.

Nicola qualified as an RGN from Leeds University in 2002 then as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in 2011 from Huddersfield University. She has spent the last 10 years working in Primary Care across West Yorkshire and joined the practice in March 2017.
NURSE SAMANTHA MCNEELY
Samantha studied Adult Nursing at the University of Huddersfield and qualified in 2005. She has a background in Accident and Emergency care which is where she started her nursing career until 2010. Samantha joined the practice in 2008 as a Junior Practice Nurse. She has done Diploma's in Contraception and Sexual Health, Cytology, Asthma, Minor Injury Illness and Supporting Learning In Practice. In 2016, she became a Nurse Prescriber after completing a Diploma in Independent and Supplementary Prescribing. Samantha achieved the title of Queen's Nurse in 2018 following the design and implementation of the highly successful Play Safe, Stay Safe campaign.
NURSE KATE WADSWORTH
Kate trained at Huddersfield School of Nursing, and qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1987. She has worked at the Practice since March 2000. She has done Diploma's in Contraception, Asthma and Cytology. She has qualifications in Sexual Health and holds a Faculty qualification in removal/insertion of Contraceptive Implants. In 2011 she became a Nurse Prescriber after completing a Diploma in Independent and Supplementary Prescribing. She is an experienced Nurse in all areas of Practice Nursing, having worked in General Practice for 17 years.
NURSE NICOLA INGLESFIELD
Nurse Inglesfield trained at Bradford University - School of Nursing, qualifying as a RGN in 1998. She has worked at the Practice since 2007. She has done diplomas in Contraception and Sexual Health and Cytology. She is an experienced Practice Nurse with over 9 years experience in Primary Care.
NURSE LAURA POSTON-LORD
I qualified from the University of Leeds in 2017. During my nurse training I had various student placements including A & E, a surgical ward, a stroke ward and 2 general practice placements. I previously worked as a Healthcare assistant at Spire and I joined the practice in September as a Junior Practice Nurse.
Diane started working at the Practice in 2000 as receptionist and has done a variety of roles but feels she is now at home as a Healthcare Assistant (HCA). She has done her Primary Healthcare Assistant Certificate along with many other training modules which include Weight Management Diploma, Diabetic Foot Assessment, Ear Irrigation, Wound Care, Flu, Pneumococcal, Shingles and B12 Injections, Phlebotomy and many more. She assists with the GP's and nurses in CASH, coil and implant clinics and Minor Surgery. She particularly loves being able to help patients where possible in living a health balanced lifestyle and helping them with understanding of how they can achieve this.

Psychological Well-Being Practitioners
I graduated in Psychology Bsc(Hons) from the University of Worcester in 2013 and since then I have enjoyed working in a variety of roles for mental health organisations. I currently work for the Improving Access to Psychological therapies service as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner after gaining a Post Graduate certificate in delivering Low Intensity Psychological Interventions from the University of Sheffield in 2019. I am based at the University Health Centre on Wednesdays. As part of my current role I particularly enjoy supporting individuals experiencing symptoms of panic to overcome such using graded exposure therapy.
