The Brunswick Centre LGBTQ Youth Group
The yOUTh Service is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and works across all of Kirklees, providing support to LGBT young people
We hold a weekly LGBT youth group in Huddersfield town centre for 11 to 24-year-olds. We currently meet on Wednesdays between 4pm and 7pm.
The session is a closed session and you cannot attend unless you have met a member of staff first. This is to keep everyone safe.
The Brunswick Centre (Calderdale and Kirklees)
The Brunswick Centre was established in 2001 following the merger of two local HIV charities, Calderdale HIV/AIDS Link (CHAL) and Kirklees AIDS Response (KAR) who were established in the late 1980's in response to the support needs of people with HIV.

Monthly Trans Youth Group
We hold a monthly support group for trans young people and their parents/guardians/carers to attend. This is held on the first Thursday of every month in a town centre location between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.
Parents/guardians/carers can come to a safe and non-judgmental space to discuss their child's transition and get support from other parents who have had similar experiences.
Sister shhhOUT: Supporting the well-being and sexual health of LGBTQ+ women in Kirklees.
Do you identify as a LGBTQ+ woman? Or perhaps you are questioning your sexuality orientation?
The Sister shhhOUT project focuses on well-being issues, increasing awareness and addressing some of the health equalities experienced by lesbian and bisexual women by providing information, advice, social opportunities and access to resources through group support space.
Sister shhhOUT meets in a welcoming, safe and supportive women-only space.
The group meet every Wednesday at: 6pm until 8pm at WomenCentre Kirklees – 15 Lord Street, Huddersfield, HD1 1QB (view map)
