Have You Had Your Meningitis ACWY Vaccine Before Coming To University?

YES - If the answer is YES brilliant, the vaccine will protect you against some of the most common causes of bacterial meningitis in the UK. (You still need to register with us as you never know when you might need us).

NO - If the answer is NO, you need to get it NOW! Please come to the health centre to register and if you are under the age of 25 ask for your Meningitis ACWY vaccine.

Make sure you know the signs and symptoms of Meningitis and Septicaemia as vaccines don't protect you against all types! For more information visit:

Monthly Closures for Staff Training Sessions

The world of medicine is an ever changing one, which is why we need to ensure that all of our team members are up to speed with the latest developments, regulations and improvements in patient care. This includes our team of receptionists, who need, among other things, to be confident in their life support training, should there be an emergency in the waiting room.

To make this training really effective, we need to train the team all together at the same time. Consequently, on the third Tuesday of every month the surgery will be closed from 1pm and reopen as usual the following day at 8:15am. If you require medical advice or assistance please call the NHS service on 111. Please note all calls are free to this number.
