Help Is Only A Call Away ...

999 and A&E Departments are for life threatening emergencies. For everything else call 111 for free, 24/7. Trained staff can give you immediate health advice and direct you to the right care in your area.

Have You Had Your Meningitis ACWY Vaccine Before Coming To University?

YES - If the answer is YES brilliant, the vaccine will protect you against some of the most common causes of bacterial meningitis in the UK. (You still need to register with us as you never know when you might need us).

NO - If the answer is NO, you need to get it NOW! Please come to the health centre to register and if you are under the age of 25 ask for your Meningitis ACWY vaccine.

Make sure you know the signs and symptoms of Meningitis and Septicaemia as vaccines don't protect you against all types! For more information visit:

We are a University Practice who are experienced in looking after University students  - delivering a bespoke service which is tailored specifically to meet the demands of a student population. Please be aware that as such, our skills are specifically geared towards the needs of this particular population. If you live within the practice area, you can register with the health centre.

How To Register?

Bring your previous GP details to the Health Centre and your NHS number if you have it and complete the registration paperwork at reception. Alternatively, you can download the below registration form and complete the pre-registration form online.

Out of Area Registrations

If you are living out of the practice area but study or work within the Huddersfield area you may register here. Please note, as you will be registering as an "out of area" patient, this mean that if you were sick at home we would be unable to offer you a home visit. However, there are systems and processes in place whereby you can access urgent care closer to your home address. Please call the health centre on 01484 430386 if you require more information.

The partners will assess your application for registration and we will let you know.  Please note that if you have complex health needs then the Partners may decide that you are not suitable for an "out of area" registration.  We are a practice set up to deal with patients of student age and therefore our services are geared up as such and the partners may feel that your needs will be best met by a regular practice.  The partners decision will be final.
